Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 13, 2026
This policy explains what information Floodle ("we", "us") handles when you use floodle.fun, and the choices you have. We aim to collect as little as possible.
Information we collect
We do not require an account and we do not ask for personal information such as your name, email, or address to play. We do not run our own analytics or user-tracking.
Your gameplay data — your streak, statistics, current daily progress, and accessibility settings — is stored only in your browser's local storage on your own device. It is never transmitted to us, and you can erase it at any time by clearing your browser's site data.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand aggregate, anonymous usage — which pages are visited and broad traffic trends — so we can improve the game. Google Analytics sets cookies and processes usage data (such as a truncated IP and device/browser type) on our behalf; it does not identify you personally to us. You can opt out across all sites with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or by blocking cookies in your browser. See also Google's Privacy Policy.
Anonymous gameplay statistics
When you solve the daily puzzle, the game sends a small, anonymous record to our stats service — only the day number, your move count, your solve time, and the puzzle's par. This powers the "you beat X% of players today / today's average" comparison. It contains no personal information and cannot identify you; it's pooled into daily totals. No cookies or identifiers are used for this.
Cookies and advertising
Floodle is supported by advertising. To show ads, third-party vendors — including Google — may use cookies and similar technologies on this site.
- Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on this site. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- You can opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info (or, in the EU, youronlinechoices.eu).
- For more on how Google uses data from sites that use its services, see Google's policy.
If advertising on this site is ever served by a different ad network, that network's cookie and data practices would apply to its ads in the same way.
Local storage vs. cookies
The local-storage data Floodle itself uses (your stats and settings) is not a tracking cookie and is not shared with anyone. The cookies described above are set by the advertising provider, not by Floodle directly.
Optional crypto tips
If you choose to send a voluntary crypto tip, that transaction happens entirely on a public blockchain through your own wallet. We do not collect, process, or store any payment or wallet information.
Children's privacy
Floodle is a general-audience puzzle and is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your choices
- Clear your stats and settings any time by clearing site data in your browser.
- Control personalized ads using the opt-out links above.
- Block cookies entirely in your browser settings (the game will still work).
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site evolves; the "last updated" date above will change accordingly.
