Is Floodle free?
Yes — completely free to play, with no account required. The site is supported by ads. If you'd like to chip in, there's an optional tip in the Support (⭐) menu, but it's never required.
How is the daily puzzle generated?
Each day's board is generated deterministically from that day's date (in UTC). That means everyone in the world plays the same board on the same day — and we never need a database of hand-made levels. A new puzzle appears automatically at 00:00 UTC.
Is every puzzle actually solvable?
Yes. Par for each board is computed by a solver, so a solution within par always exists. We also screen daily boards into a consistent difficulty range, so you won't get a trivial board one day and an impossible one the next.
What does "par" mean, and what's a good score?
Par is the target number of moves. Matching or beating par keeps your streak; under par is excellent. See the strategy guide for tips on lowering your move count.
Do I need to create an account?
No. There's no sign-up and no login. Your streak, statistics, and settings are saved locally in your browser only.
Does Floodle work offline?
Yes. Floodle is a Progressive Web App — you can add it to your home screen and it keeps working without a connection, because the puzzle is generated on your device.
What's the difference between Daily and Practice?
The Daily is one shared board per day that locks after you solve it. Practice gives unlimited fresh boards any time and never affects your daily streak or statistics.
How do streaks work?
Solve the daily within par to extend your 🔥 streak by one. Missing a day, or finishing over par, resets it to zero.
Can I play with friends?
Yes — use Share on a practice or challenge board to send a link that contains the exact board and your score. Your friend plays the identical puzzle and tries to beat your move count.
I'm colour-blind. Can I still play?
Absolutely. In Settings (⚙) you can switch on distinct symbols for each colour and a colour-blind-safe palette, so you never have to rely on colour alone.
Is my data tracked or sold?
We don't collect personal information or require an account. Game progress stays on your device. Ads shown on the site may use cookies — details are in our Privacy Policy.
